2022 Camp Details

First Touch Soccer Academy will be hosting camps in 2022 on the following dates:

July 25th - 29th - Elite Camp (9am-3pm)
July 25th - 29th - GK Camp (9am-3pm)
Aug 1st - 5th - Finishing / Striker and Scrimmage Camp (9am-12pm)
Aug 8th - 12th - Pre Season Training Camp (9am - 3pm / Half Day Option)

Locations will be Watsessing Park, Bloomfield, and Montclair Kimberley Academy, Montclair

Camp Philosophy

- Provide players with a diverse and experienced network of coaches from the NJ area 
- Provide players with exceptional facilities to train and play on during their camp day 
- Balance intense, individualized training, with fun and challenging afternoon scrimmages
- Place players in ability appropriate groups, regardless of age and gender 
- Focus on individualized skill development in the core fundamentals of the game
- Develop individual and small group tactical game (1v1, 2v1, 2v2, 3v2, 3v3, 1v2, 2v3) understanding and application 
- Develop Social and Emotional skills, such as sportsmanship, work ethic, and leadership 
- Provide age and ability appropriate training curriculum to all groups of players 
- Promote self confidence and psyche of all players, through nurturing and caring training environment
- Guarantee low (1:10) coach to player ratio 
- Provide a club neutral training environment, where the individual is paramount



FTSA Director, Rob Leather, has 15 years of coaching experience in the North NJ area, working with all age groups, in different clubs, programs and roles. He comments below:

'My goal for these camps is to provide players in the North Jersey area a week of challenging, yet fun, training, in a friendly and motivational environment. I will pool together coaches from different clubs and programs, to provide diverse and unique training and insight for the players. The camp will be club neutral and player orientated.'
